Jurassic Park at Huis Ten Bosch Nagasaki, Japan

In our most recent trip to Kyushu, Japan, we had the chance to experience a Jurassic Park-themed virtual reality shooting game in an isolated island. Yes, you heard it right! In an isolated island.

From the docks of Huis Ten Bosch, Sasabo, Nagasaki, Japan, we rode a speedboat to an isolated island dedicated for this virtual reality game.

Whoever developed Huis Ten Bosch definitely did not attempt to save some cash on this one. It’s a whole island for one virtual reality game, and it’s super underrated.

Obviously, from our outfits, we had no idea what we were getting into. Nobody told us (or at least not in English) that we will be running around an island, full of trees with big roots all over the place, going uphill and downhill, and “shooting down” dinosaurs in a virtual reality game. You actually needed to move around to find dinosaur footsteps, get an encounter, and finally face off with multiple dinosaurs trying to take a bite off of you.

Unfortunately, we can’t take videos of the whole experience but I have to say that this alone makes the trip to Huis Ten Bosch, Nagaki worth it.
